I got a half sleeve when I graduated from high school and that was 15 years ago. It used to cover my upper arm but now there is a lot of blank skin around it like it shrunk and it doesnt look right anymore.

Your body has grown since and now there is more surface area to cover. I would get back into a shop and have them do a quick fill around your work and make it look like it fits again.

Happened to me on my quarter sleeve. Ask them to make a fatter outline or just add a color around the outside so it covers the open skin. Easy fix

Doesnt your tattoo get all distorted if you gain weight because the skin isnt tight anymore?

What happens if you are really fat when you get a tattoo then you lose a bunch of weight?

You lose some of the details if there was any. Probably make the colors a little more intense though.

@Cbaps
You have to gain a lot of weight after getting your tattoo to distort it from your weight and if you gain 30-40lbs get your lazy ass off the couch and break a sweat every once in awhile.

Best example of why you dont get a tattoo when you are young is from the movie "Thats my Boy" with Adam Sandler when he lets his son get a new kids on the block tattoo and when he grows up all the heads are mishaped its hilarious.
