No scratching

No scratching

I know that you are itchy and I know you want to scratch it but if you dig your nails into your skin I promise you will regret it. You could scrape out some of the ink and screw up the final product. Instead of scratching just take a cold rag and hold it over and press down gently. This will help with the itch and not damage your piece.

When i used to have itching right after it starts to heal I would just splash water on my arm from the faucet and the contact from the water would kill the itching sensation. This way you never risk scratching it with your nails.

A trick that I use it before I go to bed I put socks on my hands. This will keep you from scratching it when you are sleepy and not thinking about it so you do it by mistake.

Stick a wet towel in the freezer for about 20 minutes then pull it out and wrap your tattoo. The cold will help with the itching.
