Alex O'Loughlin is an Australian actor, currently playing Lieutenant Commander Steve McGarrett on CBS' revamped version of Hawaii Five-0. He had starring roles in the films Oyster Farmer (2004) and The Back-up Plan (2010), as well as on such television series as Moonlight (2008) and Three Rivers (2009).

Alex has several tattoos spread out on his body. On his left nipple he has a red design and on his right nipple a small gecko. On his left bicep is a design with a lotus flower and a figure praying sitting above the flower.His right bicep has a similar style tattoo with a figure that might be Medusa with an eye on her forehead. Finally on his lower back he has a very large design that used to be a tribal but has morphed into a Maori tattoo. Alex has has several tattoos just for movies so its has confused many people on what is real and what is not real. He has also had tattoos on his forearm that have since been removed.
