Marat Mikhailovich Safin is a celebrated former Russian tennis player who was born on 27th January 1980. He got world wide fame after he became world’s no.1 player (from November 2000 to April 2001). He belongs to a tennis family as his parents are tennis players and professional coaches. His sister (Dinara Safina) was also a No.1 tennis player of the world. So far, he has won US Open (1 time in 2000), Davis Cup (1 time in 2002) and Australian Open (1 time in 2005). He started professional tennis in 1997 and said good bye to the tennis court in November 2009.

Marat Safin has some nice looking tattoos and it seems that he will have some more in near future. Here is a brief detail of his all tattoos. His first tattoo is located on his left shoulder which is a Chinese Kanji character. This Kanji reads as “Hou” and in English it means “Year of the Monkey”. When asked why he got such a tattoo with this means, he said that his zodiac in Chinese had a sign of ‘monkey’ which made him to have that tattoo.

He has his second tattoo on his right bicep which is a human eye with some barcode under it. He hasn’t yet explained this tattoo and barcodes. Maybe the barcode is explaining his D.O.B or some other think like that. His third tattoo is the most recent one which is nicely inked on his upper back. This time he has a big sun tattoo. In an interview, he said, about this tattoo, that this was like a favorite song for him.
