Matthew Shafer is his real name but he is known in the public as Uncle Kracker. The musician was born on June 6, 1974 and he is attached with the music industry for past many years. He has shown a little interest in tattoo art as he has made some tattoos on his body. He has a word ‘KRACKER’ on his right forearm. There is also a tribal design just above this word. Then, he has a tribal armband wrapped around his right bicep. On his left forearm, he has another tribal design of a bird that he got with friend Keith Urban. It is comparatively small armband than the first one.On his upper right arm he has a grim reaper and Kracker right under that. He also has some tattoos on his chest and shoulder that are hard to tell what they are.

Some of his famous hits include ‘Follow Me’, Smile and Drift Away. He started taking interest in late 80s when he first went into a night club where he met an unknown musician named Kid Rock. This musician later taught him music and he became his best friend. In 1994, Rock offered him to play turntables for his bad named Twisted Brown Trucker. At that time, he knew nothing about this thing but his brother was an experienced DJ so he agreed. He then performed for various times for the band and also became a featured vocalist for some tracks as well.

In the year 1998, he married Melanie Hass who was his childhood girlfriend and with he loved a lot. The couple is living together in their home with their three daughters about whom they say are their life. Uncle Kracker is now a solo musician who has been released many hit albums.
