The Spanish-born actress and dancer, Monica Cruz Sanchez, was born on March 16, 1977. She has a younger sister Penelope Cruz who is also in the same show business industry, and who is more famous than elder sister. The Spanish singer Eduardo Cruz is also a sibling of Monica Cruz. She was born to Encarna Sanchez and Eduardo Cruz who were a hairdresser and a retailer and auto mechanic respectively. During their childhood, the two sisters learned dance and they proved themselves as dancers. They received professional dance training. The younger sister learnt dance at Spain’s National Conservatory, while Monica enrolled herself in The Royal Academy of the Dance. They learnt ballet and traditional flamenco there.

The elder sister has a couple of tattoos located on her body, but these tattoos are not as much bigger. At first, she has an artistic design tattoo located on the back of her right shoulder. She also has two foot tattoos. On one foot is the number 3848 and the meaning is unknown. Next is on her other ankle that is script which is also unknown. Then she has another tattoo located on the underside of his left wrist and it says MAMA.

In the year 2002, Monica left dancing and entered acting world. She first appeared on Spanish television and performed on several series there such as Un Paso Adelante. She has also performed in various films as well, such as Last Hour, Liola, and The Final Inquiry.
