Michael Ryan Pritchard was born on May 4, 1972, in California. He was raised by his adoptive parents, a Native American mother and a white father who adopted him at times when his real biological heroine addicted mother presented him for adoption. He is best known in the public for a punk rock band ‘Green Day’ for which he is a bassist and a backing vocalist. He had co-founded the band with other members. He was born as Michael Ryan Pritchard, but the name was later changed to Mike Dirnt when he was in his school. The name was changed by his school friends who were tired of his habit of playing ‘air-bass’ by plucking the strings who would produce the noise ‘dirnt, dirnt, dirnt’.

He has made a lot of tattoos on his body, mostly on arms. He has a cross with a pyramid on his left shoulder. On his right shoulder, he has written the name of daughter, Estelles, with yellow and red stars. He has many other designs on this shoulder as well, including a smilie face, a picture of an adaptor and a sad face. He has a tribal design located on his right ankle.

Once his mother returned back home with a guy after staying out entire night. He had not met or seen this guy before, and in a sudden he realized that he was his stepdad. He could not attach with him so many years, but then he got very closed to him after his mother left the home leaving him and his stepdad alone. That man brought him up with utmost care and love, but he died when he was just 17 years old.
