Why do tattoos that are over 10 years old start to get muddled down and the colors blend in with each other ruining the details?

Combination of poor ink quality and just bad technique of penetrating your skin and getting the ink to set. Any tattoo can be touched up though so dont be afraid to revisit a shop.

People over 50 always have the most faded ugly tattoos and you can never tell what the used to be. I hope mine doesnt look like that when I get old.

There has been a lot of advancements in the ink industry and they have definitely improved the colors and their longevity. I woundnt think that the new age tatts are going to be looking like those when you are older.

dont put a tattoo on a place that will get much bigger over the years that will stretch out our work and make it look like trash. Stomach is the worst place to have work if you want it to stay true.

What is a good brand of ink so you can ask for it specifically in your next tattoo?

make sure the person giving you the tattoo is heavy handed and gets your ink in there good so it doesnt happen later on
