If you have a tattoo on your shoulder or back where the sun is always on you when you are at the pool you are only screwing yourself. If you got a sunburn on a fresh tattoo, I dont want to be you.

Tattoos are a part of your flesh. You wouldn't fall off a motorcycle and then not fix or heal your scrapped up knees and elbows. You would do what you can to make them heal without infection and little scarring. So, if you are paying a pretty penny for ink, which is self infliction f pain and scarring, why wouldn't you do what is needed to invest time, money and things to heal it properly?

I usually get my tattoos in the fall and winter, so I am not tempted to step out in the sun and take a swim in the pool. It will be a while before you can actually take a swim, so if you will be tempted to go in, just wait until the fall or winter and save you the headache.

On your forearm will get the most sun so you have to be careful with that tattoo
