4 me it was short

I dont know if I heal fast or what but when I had my tattoo of a butterfly on my ankle I was swimming in like 6 weeks and it never was messed up.Guess im lucky :D

Or you dont know how good your tattoo could have potentially be and you faded it before it was fully healed

If I was told not to swim for 8 weeks I wouldnt swim for 12 weeks just to make sure

I was told not to go in 3-8 weeks depending on spot, type of tattoo, and how it healed within the first few weeks. The bigger, more colorful, the more time to heal. The smaller, usually just outlined, no color, usually pretty fast. Area will determine when its cool to submerge in water. There is no set time. Just check and if you feel your tatt is NOT apart of your skin, then don't chance it...
