My guys have done that throughout the process too... I assume so.

Yep my dude used it on all 3 of mine

The Vaseline is used throughout tattoo process to soften skin and make the needle glide easier as its cutting skin. Keeps the needle from jumping to much and tearing up the skin.

I had a guy one time who would wipe vaseline on, and tattoo a area that he hadn't used the vaseline on. and boy let me tell you there is a major difference! That vaseline is much needed when tattooing!!!
