Does the healing of your tattoo vary depending on your environment? Like if you live in a dry climate do you have to apply more lotion than you would in a humid climate?

I'm sure it does. I would think dryer climates require more application. But, if you use aquaphore, application is less in any environment.

Honestly, it depends on you. Id say colder season is best because you don't sweat as much, the sun exposure is minimal, and no worries of pool or outdoor activity. BUT, the flipside of that is you may dress warmer, and that will mess with tattoos that become covered, such as rubbing and what not. But I think moist climates give the tattoo area a breeding ground for bacteria build up and slows the healing process down. It just has to do with how you take care of it. As with any open wound, it needs fresh air to heal, needs to stay clean and free of bacteria, and needs to stay moist with either aquaphor or Lubriderm.

Winter time tends to dry out your skin so you might have to apply a little extra lotion

I think the climate can play a big deal in the healing of a tattoo. The hotter it is, your going to have to reapply and stay out of the sun. The colder it is, you will have to reapply because of your skin drying out. Just keep aquaphor on you at allllllll times to reapply as necessary.

If you live in the South where it is very humid do you even have to put on lotion?

I was born and raised in CA and barely had to use lotion but now that I live in AZ I have to use it like 5 times a day so I think it does matter
