Play it safe dude. Get your kids names, or something that represents you as a person. If your military, get military. Know what I mean? First time tattoos are great. Buy go all out with it.

first tattoo's are cool. You just have to get something your really want, and maybe not so big with a lot of detail. ive heard the artist at the shop I worked at to go with a name, or something small. If you have never had a tattoo before it can be a little scary and painful. If you go with something big or detailed, you run the risk of tapping out before the line work is done...

Go with a happy Hamster on your leg. That's cool.

Your first tattoo should mean something to you. Like it should have meaning, such as a name, memorial, a design, or a picture or symbol that represents something special to you, or about you. A lot of people go for the trendy stuff, and end up regretting it later, then having it covered. Don't let your first tattoo be a mistake a few years down the road.
