How did you decide

I want a tattoo really bad but I cant make up my mind what to get and I keep thinking that I might get the wrong thing. How did you decide what to get?

Dont get something trendy because other people think it is cool. Think about somehting that means the most to you in life. Is it your parents? friends? sport? college? Pick something that means something to you so no matter what the most important person is satisfied with their decision, you.

How I decide is I will think about it forever and when I think I know what I want I draw a picture of it then hold it over my body where I want it done. From there I make changes and alterations so it fits where I want it to be. If I go through all of that and I still want it then I get it.

Everytime I overcome a hurdle in life I get a tattoo to remember it by. When I graduated from college me and some friends got tattoos on our ankles of our school mascott go huskies! When I got married me and my wife got matching heart tattoos on our wrists, When I had my daughter I got her name over my heart. When they mean something to you they are much better.

If you have a hard time deciding what you want to get done ask your family for ideas. Sometimes you need a little inspiration from the people you love to make it more meaningful.

Just dont expect to come up with the perfect tattoo and just get something that you really care about. Sometimes you can spend so much time trying to come up with the art work that you can never come up with a final draft.

If you keep thinking you are going to get something wrong then you are never going to get anything.Im not saying to be careful im just saying once you find something that you like you should get it and stop worrying about if you will like it 10-15 years later.
