Customers should not be under the influence, and the artist should not be under the influence. You wouldn't go to work for a real estate company, or target wasted on alcohol or drugs, why would you do it as an artist or patron? your asking for stupid things to happen. Furthermore, when the artist drink, they are giving every other tattoo artist and shop a bad name.

Customers sometimes need to be under the influence of something cuz that pain is out of control in spots

Being drunk means they are going to get you into a conversation that they can barely be coherent for and have a chance of getting sick and ruining the time to work by taking trips to the bathroom to puke
