I bled a lot when I got my tattoo on my ankle but the tattoo didnt take longer than an hour so i didnt really lose that much blood

That's why I bled getting my arm band done too. Drank night before. I also heard shaders, especially the bigger mags like RS 7-12 can cause a lot of bleeding too.

Those are the size of needles, yes. RS means round shader and 7-12 are the amount of needles within a bunch. Of course the bigger, such as 12 is going to shade and color much faster than an RS 3. But using a 12 is going to give a sharpie type line if used as a liner, whereas a RL 5 will be like a pencil or pen. Sorry, love the craft of the tattoo machine...

I never knew that they used more than one needle. How to they keep them close together?

They use different needles depending on the look they are going for. They are bunched together on the needle, held in place slaughtered, and depending on the needle amount which can range from 2-12 or 13, 2 making a very small minute line, and the 12 making almost a sharpie sized line. Then you have the shaders which lay flat. The have a rounded shaders where the end needles are a tad shorter and taper into the needles, like fanning, that range from a few needles to many as well. The more the needles, the more ink you are dropping. The less needles, the less ink you'll see. Usually the smaller needles will be used for portraits, where fine detail is needed. Yes, needles make alllll the difference in tattooing.
