Roderick David “Rod” Stewart is an eminent musician, singer and song-writer of England. He is the father of famous actress and model Kimberly Stewart. He started his solo career in 1969 and his debut album was An Old Raincoat Won’t Ever Let You Down. He is the best selling artist of all the time and has sold more than 100 million records of his albums all over the world. He was ranked 17 in the list of “The Billboard Hot 100 Top All-Time Artist” by Billboard Magazine in 2008.

He also got couple of tats on his both arms. First of all, the renowned singer has a tattoo that can be located at the upper side of his right arm near to his shoulder. This is a tattoo of a Scottish thistle and is made with traditional black ink. He also has another tattoo that can be seen on his left arm. This time, he got a Scottish lion rampart tattoo.

The reason why he has such tattoos is that he has a mix English and Scottish ethnicity and has deep love with Scotland. Scottish thistle was first adopted as the Emblem of Scotland by Aexander III (**), secondly as a royal symbol (in the shape of a silver coin) by James III in 1470 and now as a tattoo by Rod Steward, this is, obviously, his tribute to the ancient culture of Scotland. His second tattoo, lion rampant, is the second flag of Scotland and also known as “Rampant Lion Flag” & “Royal Flag”. The same flag is used at the Dover House London, UK. The second tattoo of Rod Stewart again shows his deep love and patriotism with Scotland.
