Missy Elliot and Timbaland stopped by Hot 97 to talk about her latest single and about their thoughts on Drake’s tattoo in memory of Aaliyah.

Here is what they had to say:

Timbaland: To me … the tattoo part, did that man come in here and show y’all? Like lift up his shirt? I mean they said pictures are online.

Missy Elliott: I think that the tattoo is real; I did see a picture of it. You know what, let me be quiet … you know what it is, because he’s a human being too. A lot of people may not have met Michael Jackson, but feel they have a connection with him.

Over the years, people have gossiped about Drake’s “obsession” with the late singer, whom he had never even met. He has referenced “Are You That Somebody” on “BedRock”, he wrote a letter to Aaliyah on the 9th anniversary of her death addressing her by her middle name, he has an earpiece he wears at every show with Aaliyah’s face on it, he got her face tattooed on his back, and in addition to announcing that he’ll debut an Aaliyah-featured single at the OVO Fest, sources close to Drizzy revealed that he’s set to executive produce her in-the-works posthumous album.
